Fees & Expenses

In most cases our fees are based upon the time and responsibility involved. Some work is done on an hourly basis. For other matters, a flat fee is appropriate.

Some cases, such as personal injury litigation, may be handled on a contingent fee basis, whereby the fee for legal services is a percentage of the amount of money obtained for you.

The fee arrangement will be discussed with you by the attorney handling your case during your first conference. In most matters, the attorney will be able to give you an estimate of the fee. In lengthy matters, the fee will be billed periodically. At times, the nature of the legal work may require a retainer fee which is always a part of the total fee and not an addition to it. You will be provided with a written agreement of your fee arrangements.

We believe that full disclosure of fees and expenses is your right. You may inquire at any time about your current fee status.

Expenses which are incurred in connection with your legal work are chargeable to you. Arrangements may be made at the time of your initial consultation for the handling of these expenses.
